PRF stands for platelet rich fibrin which offers even more benefits than standard platelet rich plasma (PRF). The components of your PRF cause growth of the hair follicles by stimulating the stem cells and other cells in the microenvironment of the hair follicle. Human blood contains mesenchymal stem cells and autologous blood products that contain essential growth factors which help aid tissue healing and rebuilding. The primary purpose of using PRF in hair restoration is to stimulate inactive hair follicles into an active growth phase.

Procedure:

Your own blood will be collected and placed in sterile vials and syringes specially designed to process the PRF. The components in your blood are separated by spinning in a centrifuge, separating the PRF from the red blood cells.  The scalp will be prepped & numbing cream may be applied before the procedure for a more comfortable treatment. The PRF can then be injected into the scalp in the areas of hair loss/thinning using a fine needle.
